We are pleased to announce the release of the Request for Proposal for The Massachusetts Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Fellowship Program. The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers (MassLeague) is administering a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) that establishes a PMHNP Fellowship Program for 10 Fellows at up to five Community Health Centers (CHCs) in MA.
Selected community health center (CHC) applicants will be awarded $35,000 for a six-month PMHNP Fellowship program and $55,000 per Fellow. All MA community health centers (CHCs) are eligible to apply. The MA PMHNP Fellowship Program aims to recruit, train, and retain more PMHNPs at CHCs and will allow health centers to increase much-needed psychiatric capacity. The Program will benefit CHCs and patients by allowing PMHNPs to hone population-specific knowledge and skills faster than without this advanced training. In addition, investing in postgraduate training programs will better enable PMHNPs to provide care for patients with a wide range of complex physical and mental health conditions challenged by co-morbidities and socioeconomic barriers.
The application deadline is August 27, 2021, 5:00PM (EST). An informational webinar on this program will take place July 27th at 12 PM.
